At least 14 Christians, including a 1-year-old girl and her mother, were tragically killed in Plateau State, Nigeria, following a Christmas carol service.
The attack, which occurred last Sunday near Jos, targeted the Evangelical Church Winning All. This latest incident adds to a long history of violence against the Irigwe people, a predominantly Christian community in the region.
The Irigwe community has faced ongoing persecution, including violence and displacement, at the hands of Fulani militias. Over 2,000 Christians have been killed since 2016.
This attack highlights the ongoing religious violence and insecurity in Nigeria.
