The Electoral Commission of Ghana has begun reviewing nomination forms for presidential candidates in the 2024 elections.
Chairperson Jean Mensa has stated that the review process will be conducted thoroughly and fairly, with sufficient time allowed for corrections if needed.
Two teams have been established to scrutinize the forms.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, submitted his nomination forms, accompanied by party executives and family members.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, is also expected to file his nomination.
The submission of nomination forms marks a key step in the lead-up to the 2024 elections. The Electoral Commission’s review process is crucial in ensuring the integrity of the electoral process.
