Archbishop of Wales Andrew John described the situation surrounding Justin Welby’s resignation as “an acutely painful issue for all involved.”
In his statement, he expressed compassion for everyone affected by these events over the years, saying, “We hold all those impacted in our thoughts.”
He also offered prayers for the Church of England and the Anglican Communion during this challenging time.
