Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, the founder of the Movement for Change and presidential candidate of the Afrafranto Alliance, has received enthusiastic support in the Western North Region for his plan to establish a Traders Bank aimed at bolstering private businesses and revitalizing Ghana’s economy.
Speaking at gatherings in Bibiani, Sefwi Bekwai, and Sefwi Wiawso, Kyerematen emphasized the significance of the Traders Bank, a central component of his Great Transformational Plan (GTP). “With around 80% of Ghanaians engaged in trading, it is essential to have a bank dedicated to financing their activities,” he stated, underscoring the bank’s commitment to inclusivity for both men and women.
He urged locals to reject the narratives of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), whom he labeled as responsible for the current economic challenges. “Ignore the falsehoods of the NPP and NDC. They have let you down. It’s time to embrace a new agenda of hope and transformation,” he declared, eliciting cheers from the crowd.
Addressing concerns about the viability of his candidacy, Kyerematen rejected claims that voting for him would be futile. “Such statements are a calculated effort to keep Ghanaians in hardship. A vote for Alan Kyerematen is a vote for a brighter future,” he asserted.
During his tour, Kyerematen engaged with various community groups, including the youth, market women, clergy, and the Muslim community, seeking their support and prayers. “Your advice and blessings are crucial for this journey, and I promise to advocate for your concerns when elected,” he assured them.
In Sefwi Wiawso, he encouraged constituents to elect him as president and Veronica Ababio as their Member of Parliament. “Together, we will implement transformative policies for this constituency and the nation,” he affirmed.
Local clergy and the Chief Imam offered prayers for Kyerematen and his team, seeking divine guidance and success in the upcoming December 7 election. “You have conducted a respectful and issue-focused campaign,” they praised.
Kyerematen concluded his address by urging the Western North Region to vote decisively for change. “This election is about Ghana’s future. Let’s choose progress and transformation over stagnation,” he said, leaving his supporters feeling energized and hopeful about the movement’s prospects.
