The parliamentary elections held on December 7, 2024, across all 276 constituencies delivered unexpected results, particularly for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Several prominent NPP ministers lost their seats, marking significant setbacks for the party and highlighting its struggles to maintain control in various regions.

At the same time, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) capitalized on the situation, making strong gains in areas traditionally dominated by the NPP.

This shift signals a potential realignment in voter preferences and a changing political landscape in Ghana.

Here are some of the key ministers who lost their parliamentary seats:

These losses mark a significant shift in Ghana’s political landscape, with the NPP facing substantial challenges in retaining its influence in several key areas.

The NDC’s gains suggest a shift in voter preferences, particularly in regions traditionally controlled by the NPP.
