The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has issued a stern warning against attacks on its personnel. The military has observed instances where soldiers on authorized duty have been targeted by mobs.
In a statement, GAF emphasized that its personnel have the right to defend themselves, innocent civilians, and property, even if it means using lethal force when necessary.
The military urged Ghanaians to exercise their civic rights responsibly and cooperate with security personnel to maintain peace and order. GAF reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the nation’s stability and sovereignty.
