Three men have been sentenced to a total of 125 years in prison with hard labor by the Ho Circuit Court for their involvement in a robbery that occurred in the Volta Region in May 2021.
Nzete Chukunhru Best, Mark Billy Agbozo, and Ernest Sokpi Amevor were found guilty of robbery and sentenced to 25 years for each offense, to be served consecutively.
The robbery, which targeted the home of a lotto agent, resulted in the theft of GH₵825,000 in cash and valuables.
The court’s decision comes after a thorough investigation into the incident, which involved the use of a taxi cab to carry out the robbery. Authorities are continuing their efforts to apprehend six other individuals suspected of involvement in the crime.
