Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council member, Osei Kwaku Palmer, has issued a scathing rebuke of Black Stars coach, Otto Addo, demanding his immediate dismissal.

Palmer expressed his utter disappointment with Addo’s tenure, highlighting the team’s poor performance under his leadership. Since his reappointment, Addo has overseen a dismal record, winning only two of the ten matches he has managed.

“Addo’s continued employment is simply untenable,” Palmer declared. “His performance has been woefully inadequate.”

Palmer further emphasized that the decision to retain or dismiss the coach must be made by the GFA, free from any external interference, particularly from the government.

“The GFA must take decisive action and terminate Otto Addo’s contract,” Palmer asserted. “This is the only course of action that reflects the gravity of the situation.”

This call for Addo’s dismissal comes on the heels of the Black Stars’ abject failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The team’s dismal performance throughout the qualifying campaign, which saw them fail to win a single match, has ignited widespread criticism and calls for a change in leadership.
