President John Dramani Mahama has appointed seasoned security experts to vital roles in a strategic move to bolster Ghana’s security and governance framework.

Prosper Douglas Bani, former Chief of Staff and Minister for the Interior, has been appointed as the new National Security Advisor.

With his vast experience in governance and security, Bani is expected to provide valuable leadership in strengthening national security.

DCOP Abdul-Osman Razak has been named the National Security Coordinator, tasked with unifying and streamlining the country’s security operations for greater efficiency and effectiveness.

COP Nathan Kofi Boakye (Rtd.), known for his distinguished career, will now serve as Director of Operations at the Presidency. In this role, he will oversee and enhance the country’s operational security efforts.

Charles Kipo has been appointed Director-General of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), where he will lead intelligence operations to anticipate and address potential security threats.

These strategic appointments highlight President Mahama’s dedication to reinforcing national security and fostering public trust in the country’s safety measures.
