Chaos erupted during the Appointments Committee session as Minority and Majority MPs clashed over the vetting of Kwabena Mintah Akandoh and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
Tensions escalated when the Minority MPs demanded the rescheduling of the vetting to Friday, citing previous agreements.
The Majority, however, insisted that the process proceed as originally planned.
The disagreement quickly intensified, with Minority MPs causing disruption by destroying microphones and tables, prompting a stronger security presence in the room.
The Minority argued that no further nominees should be vetted, sticking to an earlier understanding to vet only four nominees for the day.
Amid the chaos, Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga was forced to suspend the session and announce that the proceedings would continue the following day in the Speaker’s conference room.
