A 25-year-old man, Kwame Asamoah, also known as Kwame Ketewa, was tragically shot dead while making his way back from his farm in Akyem Dokyi-Tetekasom, near Akyem Takyiman in the Eastern Region.

Kwame had left his home early on Monday morning to gather palm fruits for his father.

Neighbor Esther Adumea, who was also working on her farm, reported hearing a gunshot while preparing to transport her produce.

Fearing danger, she and her son stayed on the farm for a while before eventually heading home.

To their shock, as they returned, they discovered Kwame’s lifeless body lying in a pool of blood, with the assailant having fled the scene.

The body was later transported to the Kade Government Hospital.

Police from the Akyem Takyiman station, led by Chief Inspector Godsway, have launched an investigation into the murder and are working to identify and apprehend the killer.
