National Youth Authority CEO Osman Ayariga

Accra, Ghana – Osman Ayariga, Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), has announced plans to complete all outstanding youth resource centers and construct six new ones.

In an interview, Ayariga discussed the future of the projects, noting that only two of the ten previously planned centers are fully operational.

Of the ten centers initially intended for each of Ghana’s former ten regions, only those in the Upper West and Eastern Regions have been completed.

Ayariga stated that the remaining eight centers will be finished, and an additional six will be built to serve the six newly created regions. “The 10 youth development centres that were being constructed (under the past administration) of which only two were completed,…so based on the promise of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, I can tell you emphatically that we shall complete the rest of the youth development centres and also construct new ones to take care of the six other new regions,” Ayariga affirmed.

Ayariga recently inspected the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex and indicated that its renovation will be a priority under his leadership.
