One person has died and multiple others sustained serious injuries in a road accident near Bolgatanga, where a private vehicle crashed into a tree.
The incident occurred along the Zuarungu road as the vehicle, en route from Bolgatanga to Garu, attempted to avoid colliding with cattle that had wandered onto the road. The driver swerved, hitting a motorcyclist before crashing into a tree.
The motorcyclist was killed instantly. The driver and passengers of the vehicle sustained critical injuries, including a broken arm for the driver.
The injured have been transported to the Upper East Regional Hospital in Bolgatanga for medical treatment.
