The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region has suspended 17 additional members, bringing the total number of suspended members in the region to 23.

This follows the earlier suspension of six executives from the Pusiga Constituency.

The latest suspensions involve 16 current and former executives from the Tempane Constituency, along with one individual from the Builsa South Constituency.

Jambeidu Ibrahim, one of the suspended members from Tempane, accused former Deputy Attorney General and NPP parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Joseph Kpemka, of orchestrating their suspension.
