President John Dramani Mahama is set to officially launch the Adwumawura Programme today, Monday, April 28, in the Ashanti Region.
The initiative, a major campaign promise by the government, aims to support the creation of at least 10,000 new businesses each year, with a strong emphasis on youth empowerment and entrepreneurship.
According to the government, the Adwumawura Programme is a key component of the administration’s 120-day social contract and is designed to tackle the country’s rising unemployment rate.
Later in the week, President Mahama is also expected to unveil two additional initiatives: the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, also known as Mahama Cares, and the National Apprenticeship Programme.
