Two Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates were reportedly prevented from taking their first paper, Mathematics, after allegedly being locked in a room by their headmaster.

The incident occurred at Big Six International School in Meduma.

The students were scheduled to sit their exams at Simms High School in Fawoade, which is the approved center for candidates in the Kwabre East Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

However, according to reports, the headmaster of the private school allegedly confined the two students due to their failure to settle outstanding school fees.

As a direct consequence of this alleged action, both students missed the crucial first paper of the ongoing nationwide examination.
