Asante Kotoko officially presented their 2024/25 MTN FA Cup trophy to the club’s life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, as a gesture of gratitude and loyalty.

This presentation follows their hard-fought 2-1 victory over Golden Kick FC in Sunday’s tightly contested final at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium. In that match, Kwame Opoku was the hero, scoring both goals, including a decisive late penalty, after Bless Ege had earlier netted a brilliant free-kick for Golden Kick.

Leading the delegation to Manhyia Palace were IMC Chairman Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah, Board Chairman Kwesi Appiah, and Technical Director Malik Jabir. The visit served to express the club’s profound appreciation to the Asantehene for his unwavering support and blessings throughout the successful season.

Kotoko’s triumph in the FA Cup has secured them a coveted spot in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup, offering them an opportunity to once again make their mark on the continental stage.
