NPP General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua has denied claims that the party’s presidential primaries are rigged to favor former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia or any particular candidate.

Kodua described the allegations as baseless, emphasizing the party’s commitment to democratic processes.

He cited the party’s electoral history, noting that 70-80% of current executives often retain their positions, as evidence of the fairness of the internal electoral structure.

Kodua also dismissed concerns about the order of internal elections, stating it wouldn’t affect the outcome.

“I will be very surprised if anyone thinks that an election that is yet to be conducted will favour a particular candidate,” Kodua said, defending the integrity of the NPP’s electoral process.
