A fire has broken out at the Accra Tourist Information Centre, located opposite the popular Afrikiko restaurant. Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) are currently on the scene working to control the blaze.

The cause of the fire, which started in the early hours of Monday, August 4, around 1:00 a.m., is still unknown. Eyewitnesses suggest the flames may have originated from the kitchen area of Rockz Waakye, a food vendor operating on the premises, but this has not yet been officially confirmed.

No injuries or casualties have been reported so far.
