The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 18 new cases of Mpox, increasing the country’s total number of recorded infections to 346.
According to the latest update, the death toll remains at one, with no additional fatalities reported and no patients currently hospitalized.
In a statement issued following its August 7 update, the GHS urged the public to stay alert, avoid close contact with individuals displaying symptoms, and report any suspected cases to the nearest health facility without delay.
Health officials also confirmed that the GHS is collaborating with regional directorates to trace contacts and strengthen the national response to the outbreak.
