The Parliament of Ghana, under the leadership of the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has announced the opening of a Book of Condolence in honour of the eight distinguished Ghanaians who tragically lost their lives in a recent helicopter crash.

The book has been placed in the foyer of Parliament House and is open to state officials, Members of Parliament, and the general public from Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

According to the Parliamentary Service, this initiative offers a public platform for citizens, government officials, and MPs to express their condolences and pay tribute to the departed. Among those who perished in the crash were two esteemed Ministers of State, as well as technocrats and service personnel who served the nation with dedication and distinction.

In a statement issued by the Director of Media Relations, David Sebastian Damoah, Parliament emphasized the importance of standing in solidarity with the bereaved families during this period of national mourning.

“Members of Parliament, staff of the Parliamentary Service, and the General Public are invited to visit the foyer to pay tribute and offer messages of sympathy,” the statement read.

The gesture, Parliament said, reflects a collective expression of grief and a unified hope for comfort, strength, and peace for the families affected by this profound loss.
