West Ham midfielder Mohammed Kudus has issued a warning to Liverpool and Manchester United ahead of their upcoming matches.
The Hammers will face Liverpool in the EFL Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday, December 20, before hosting Manchester United in the English Premier League on Saturday. They will also play Arsenal at the Emirates afterwards.
After scoring a brace against Wolves on Sunday, Kudus acknowledged that the match against Liverpool will be challenging, but expressed confidence in his team’s abilities.
“It will be another tough game, but the boys will be up for it, and the win today is a big boost for our confidence,” he told West Ham United TV. “We will give our best every time.”
Kudus also emphasized the importance of winning titles, citing their 3-1 victory over Arsenal in the previous round of the EFL Cup.
“This is an opportunity to go to the next round, the semi-finals, so you saw the performance against Arsenal,” he said. “We will try to repeat that feat on Wednesday.”
The Ghanaian was happy with his performance against Wolves, which helped his team secure all three points. He praised the camaraderie among the players, especially the support from those who rarely get playing time.
“We support each other a lot during the ups and downs, so you can see the togetherness, and that helps us a lot,” he said. “Even the guys who are not playing are very supportive, so it’s a credit to everyone around the team.”
Kudus believes that their team spirit and unity will be crucial in their upcoming matches. “We keep building on that, and we focus on Wednesday,” he said.
Kudus has scored six Premier League goals, nine in all competitions this season.
