President Akufo-Addo extended his best wishes to the Black Stars during a farewell dinner ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire.
The event, held in Kumasi, saw the presence of notable figures such as Youth and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif and Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei Mensah.
The president of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, and Vice President Mark Addo welcomed the President to the gathering.
The farewell dinner, attended by players and the technical team, featured a diverse guest list, including international businessman Kwame Ofosu Bamfo and Akwasi Agyemang, CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
Afropop and dancehall artist, Stonebwoy entertained guests with performances, adding to the festive atmosphere.
President Akufo-Addo encouraged the players to believe in themselves, emphasising the possibility of achieving the long-awaited dream of securing an AFCON trophy for Ghana.
The Black Stars concluded their pre-tournament camp in Kumasi with a goalless draw against Namibia.
As they enter Group B alongside Cape Verde, Egypt, and Mozambique, the Black Stars are set for challenging encounters.
The opening match against Cape Verde will be followed by clashes with record champions Egypt and Mozambique.
The team aims to make a significant impact in the tournament, which has eluded Ghana for over four decades.
