Ghanaian youngster Omari Forson is set to leave Manchester United after failing to agree on a contract extension.

The 19-year-old attacker, born in London, will depart the club at the end of June as a free agent.

Despite breaking into the first team last season under Erik ten Hag, making seven appearances, Forson opted not to commit his future to Old Trafford. He featured primarily as a substitute, including high-profile matches against Manchester City and Arsenal.

United reportedly offered a new long-term deal, seeing potential in the England youth international. However, Forson prioritised playing time and felt he wasn’t high enough in the pecking order. Facing stiff competition from Antony, Amad, and Garnacho on the wings, as well as established stars like Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes in midfield, securing regular minutes proved challenging.

While United were eager to keep him, Forson has chosen a different path. Sources suggest he will officially depart United at the end of June and is currently evaluating the best option for his future career.

With his contract expiring, Omari Forson is expected to attract significant interest from clubs across Europe. The exciting young talent will be a valuable free agent, offering teams a chance to acquire a promising attacker.
