Ghana’s National Women’s Football Under 20 Team- the Black Princesses, have been drawn in Group E in the upcoming FIFA Women’s Under 20 World Cup.
The Black Princesses got drawn in the group where they are billed to play against 2018 Champions Japan, Austria and New Zealand.
The draw was conducted as part of the build-up to the start of the competition in August; the tournament commences on August 31 and scheduled to end on September 22 in Colombia.
Ghana will play Austria to open its campaign on September 2 before taking on Japan on September 5 and round up its group stage campaign against New Zealand on September 8.
The top two ranked nations at the end of the group stage qualify automatically to the Round 16 stage with the best third placed teams also progressing.
The Black Princesses head into the competition as winners of the 2023 Africa Games with Nigeria, Morocco and Cameroon.
Morocco is in the tough Group C with defending champions Spain and three time winners USA.
