Alan Kyerematen, founder and leader of the Movement for Change, has pledged to introduce comprehensive interventions to improve the lives of all Zongo community residents if elected.
Key among these initiatives is the integration of Arabic school teachers into the Ghana Education Service, ensuring they receive a regular salary for their vital work.
Kyerematen also promised to enrol teachers at Arabic schools (Makaranta) in a government salary scheme if he becomes president.
Speaking at the launch of Zumunta, the Zongo wing of his party, Kyerematen criticized both the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for neglecting Zongo communities despite receiving significant support from them during elections.
