The Ghana Police Service has refuted claims of a secret recruitment exercise at the Kumasi Police Training School in the Ashanti region.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the police clarified that the training school was temporarily used to process a large number of suspects arrested in a special operation against the QNET Ponzi scheme on September 2.
The police said that some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) mistakenly believed the screening process at the training school was a secret recruitment drive.
However, upon realizing the misunderstanding, the NDC members dispersed.
The police urged the public to disregard the false claim of a secret recruitment exercise and treat it with contempt.
