Two individuals have been apprehended in connection with the murder of a level 300 basic education teacher trainee in Techiman North, Ghana.
The suspects, identified as Collins Ameyaw and Benjamin Wiafe, were arrested in separate locations and charged with the crime.
The victim, Hannah Akosua Frimpomaa, was found deceased in an uncompleted building in Misidan on June 13, 2024.
Her body bore signs of violence, including two puncture wounds to the neck.
According to sources, Ameyaw was apprehended in Wenchi and was found in possession of Frimpomaa’s phone. Wiafe was arrested in Tuobodom and was discovered with her SIM card.
Authorities believe that the suspects lured Frimpomaa to Techiman under the pretense of returning her lost phone. Upon arriving, she was tragically murdered.
While police have not released official details about the arrests, ongoing investigations are expected to shed more light on the circumstances surrounding the crime.
