A devastating fire has destroyed an eight-bedroom house in Ahenema Kokoben, Kumasi, leaving numerous tenants homeless.

The blaze, which engulfed the single-story structure, is believed to have been sparked by a heated argument between two brothers.

Eyewitnesses say the younger brother, 25-year-old Papa, brandished a knife during the confrontation, forcing his older sibling to flee the scene.

In a fit of rage, Papa is accused of intentionally setting the house on fire, causing extensive damage to the property and displacing several residents.

Firefighters were able to control the fire before it completely destroyed the building, but the damage is significant, with losses running into thousands of cedis. Thankfully, no lives were lost in the incident.

Authorities have launched an investigation, but the suspect, Papa, remains at large.

Meanwhile, the displaced tenants are grappling with the aftermath of the devastating blaze.
