The All Teachers Alliance-Ghana has refuted K.A Technologies’ recent announcement that the One Teacher – One Laptop program has been successfully completed.
Despite K.A Technologies’ claim that over 300,000 teachers have received their laptops, the Alliance’s President, Isaac Ofori, has disputed this assertion. Based on investigations conducted at various local basic schools, Ofori has found that many teachers are yet to receive their laptops.
Ofori expressed concerns about the impact of this delay on the quality of education in Ghana, stating that such crucial initiatives should not be compromised. He also criticized K.A Technologies for claiming that teacher training has been completed, as he personally has not received any training and has not heard of any training announcements in the schools he has worked at.
The Alliance is demanding transparency and accountability from K.A Technologies, urging the company to provide concrete evidence of the training and distribution of laptops to all beneficiary teachers.
