Manchester United will end the year 14th in the Premier League

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has admitted that relegation is a “possibility” for his side this season.

United suffered a humiliating 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United at Old Trafford, extending their winless run to five games. This leaves them languishing in 14th place in the Premier League, just seven points above the relegation zone.

Amorim, speaking to BBC Sport after the match, acknowledged the seriousness of the situation. “I think that it is a possibility. We have to be clear with our fans,” he said.

This admission is a stark reminder of the perilous position United find themselves in. While relegation seemed unthinkable in the past, the club’s recent struggles have raised serious concerns among fans and pundits alike.

The team now faces a crucial period, with a challenging fixture list ahead.
