Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall has expressed respect for Rosenborg ahead of their Women’s Champions League clash.

The Norwegian club, who defeated Atletico Madrid in a penalty shootout in the semi-finals of the first round of qualifying, are set to face Arsenal on Saturday.

Eidevall praised Rosenborg’s organization and team culture, highlighting their impressive victory over Atletico.

He emphasized that the Champions League should be a competition featuring tough opponents, which is why Arsenal aims to participate.

England international Beth Mead is expected to be available for the match against Rosenborg after recovering from a groin injury. However, defender Steph Catley remains sidelined with a minor muscle injury.

The winner of Saturday’s match will advance to the second round of qualifying for a place in the group stages. While Arsenal are considered strong favorites, Eidevall anticipates a challenging match against Rosenborg.

The manager noted Rosenborg’s ability to adapt their tactics during the game, demonstrating their tactical flexibility.

He expects a similar level of preparation and strategy from Rosenborg in Saturday’s encounter.
