Delegates from the Ashanti Region have thrown their weight behind Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (popularly known as COKA), the former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman for Afigya Kwabre South, in his bid to become the party’s next Regional Chairman.

In interviews with local media, many delegates described COKA as the right candidate to lead the party in the region, citing his extensive experience and proven leadership in various roles within the NPP.

COKA previously served as the NPP’s Ashanti Regional Financial Secretary and has long been regarded as a grassroots mobilizer. His supporters believe his leadership would strengthen party structures, enhance unity, and improve the party’s election readiness.

“COKA understands the dynamics of this region and knows how to energize the base,” one delegate stated. “His vision for building the party from the ground up is exactly what we need.”

Delegates also highlighted his track record of inclusiveness, organizational discipline, and commitment to party growth as key strengths.

As the NPP prepares for its next internal elections, many within the Ashanti Region view COKA’s candidacy as a strategic step to solidify the party’s dominance in the region and improve its national electoral prospects.
