Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, has highlighted the impact of the free senior high school policy during his ‘It Is Possible’ campaign tour in the Bono East Region.
He emphasized the policy’s benefits and the NPP government’s successful implementation, despite initial objections from opposition leader John Mahama.
Dr. Bawumia engaged with local chiefs, stakeholders, and citizens, seeking support for the 2024 general elections.
He noted that many Ghanaians have benefited from the policy, which was a key campaign promise. The NPP government’s delivery on this promise, he argued, warrants recognition and reward.
Dr. Bawumia continued his campaign in the Eastern Region, visiting the Abetifi and Mpraeso constituencies.
The paramount chiefs of Mpraeso praised his leadership, urging Ghanaians to disregard the “liar” label attached to him by opposition elements.
They acknowledged his contributions to Ghana’s progress, citing the country’s top-three ranking in various global areas.
The chiefs commended Dr. Bawumia’s leadership, saying, “All his pronouncements are good; he’s a good leader. Due to his efforts, Ghana is now ranked among the top three in the world in several areas.” Their endorsement adds momentum to Dr. Bawumia’s campaign, as he seeks to build on the NPP’s achievements and secure victory in the upcoming elections.
