Julio Soler, 19, has represented Argentina at U23 level

Bournemouth are on the verge of signing 19-year-old defender Julio Soler from Argentine club Lanus for an initial fee of approximately £6.6 million.

The Cherries are expected to finalize the deal in the coming days, with Soler set to travel to the UK on Monday to complete the transfer.

The deal could potentially reach £11.5 million if all add-on clauses are met.

Soler, a Paraguayan-born left-back who has represented Argentina at youth level, has impressed with Lanus, making 58 appearances since his debut in 2022.

This signing comes after Bournemouth’s 1-0 victory over Everton, which kept them in seventh place in the Premier League table.
