Manchester City’s Jack Grealish fell victim to a burglary while playing in the team’s Premier League match against Everton on Wednesday, as reported by Sky News on Friday.
The incident unfolded during Manchester City’s 3-1 victory over Everton, with burglars making off with approximately $1.2 million worth of jewellery and watches from Grealish’s mansion in Cheshire, northwest England.
Cheshire Police in northwestern England released a statement indicating that officers, supported by police dogs and the National Police Air Service, were deployed for searches in the local area. Unfortunately, no trace of the suspects was found.
Grealish, an English left-winger, has had an impactful season with three goals and two assists in 21 matches. His time with Manchester City has seen him contribute to the team’s success, including winning the 2023 UEFA Champions League, the 2023/24 UEFA Super Cup, and the 2024 FIFA Club World Cup.
The 28-year-old footballer was also part of the England squad during EURO 2020, where they reached the final but were defeated by Italy.
