The cabinet has approved the 2025 budget ahead of its scheduled presentation to Parliament by Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson on March 11, 2025.
Minister of State in charge of Government Communication, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, announced this during a press briefing following a special Cabinet meeting held on March 7.
According to him, the budget is designed to address the country’s prevailing economic challenges while prioritizing key areas of the John Dramani Mahama administration.
He reassured Ghanaians that the financial plan is focused on stabilizing the economy and fostering sustainable growth.
Meanwhile, the John Jinapor has also outlined the Cabinet’s decision to construct a second gas processing plant as part of efforts to tackle the nation’s energy shortfall.
He emphasized the urgency of interventions to strengthen energy security and ensure a stable power supply.
Additionally, he disclosed that the Cabinet has approved a series of measures aimed at addressing Ghana’s energy challenges in the short, medium, and long term.
