The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed top Mauritius official Patrice Milazar as the referee for the highly anticipated 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier between Ghana and Sudan.

The match is set to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, October 11, 2024, with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 GMT.

Milazar, 38, will be supported by a team of officials, including Souru Phatsoane from Lesotho as Assistant I, and Jean Marc Jeff Pithia from Mauritius as Assistant II. Ganesh Chutooree, also from Mauritius, will serve as the Fourth Referee.

In addition to the on-field officials, Sekou Wieh Konneh from Liberia has been designated as the Match Commissioner.

The referee assessor for the match will be Bechir Hassani from Tunisia, while Okey Sylvanus Sylvanus Obi from Nigeria has been appointed as the Security Officer.

This matchday 3 fixture is crucial for both teams as they vie for a better position in the qualifiers.

Ghana, having collected just one point from their first two matches, is under pressure to secure a win on home soil against Sudan, a side led by former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah.
