Bernardo Silva has slammed Manchester City’s performance in their shock 2-1 defeat to Manchester United, describing the team’s late collapse as “under-15s” level.
The Premier League champions, who have been in a dismal run of form, looked set for a much-needed victory until a late surge from United turned the game on its head.
Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty before Amad Diallo sealed the win in stoppage time.
Silva was visibly frustrated with the team’s defensive errors, which led to both goals. He criticized the team’s lack of focus and individual mistakes, which have plagued them in recent weeks.
“We deserved what happened,” Silva said. “We can’t blame luck. We’ve been playing poorly for a while now. We need to improve individually and collectively.”
The defeat has further deepened City’s crisis, leaving them struggling to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League table.
