Speaking on AP Radio 105.7’s “Ability to See,” Dr. Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim urged listeners to prioritize spiritual substance over fame when choosing their spiritual leaders.
Dr. Ephraim explained that outwardly simple preachers can often be the most deeply anointed and spiritually powerful.
He pointed to the humility of Jesus Christ and the initial obscurity of the apostles, whose fame grew from their connection to Him.
He further emphasized that fame is not an indicator of spiritual greatness, citing the example of Joseph, who rose to prominence in Egypt despite his humble beginnings as a slave and prisoner.
Dr. Ephraim concluded by advising his followers: “If you are wise, follow people who have substance. Don’t follow people because they are famous but are intellectually and spiritually bankrupt.
He stressed that true spiritual guidance comes from inner depth, not outward recognition.
