The Ghana Police Service has announced a GH¢20,000 bounty for information leading to the arrest of individuals filmed allegedly threatening violence ahead of the December 7 general elections.

In a statement released on November 15, the police identified the suspects as members of the “NDC Youth of Obuasi,” highlighting that their actions violate Section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).

Despite launching a coordinated operation to apprehend those involved, no arrests have been made so far. The suspects, including Fuseini Yahuza, Bernard Ahedor, Simon, Basit, and Musa Yakubu, also known as Agya Musah, have been evading capture since the incident.

In an update on November 24, the police reiterated their request for public assistance in locating the suspects. They encouraged anyone with credible information to reach out via the dedicated phone line 0547927272.

The police emphasized their commitment to maintaining peace and security in the community as they continue their search for those responsible for the threats.
