The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has confirmed a temporary disruption in gas supply resulting from a technical fault on the Jubilee FPSO Kwame Nkrumah.
In a statement issued by Ministry spokesperson Richmond Rockson, Esq., it was revealed that the disruption occurred around 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, due to damage to a compressor onboard the FPSO.
“On Saturday, May 10, 2025, around 4 pm, damage to a compressor on the Jubilee FPSO Kwame Nkrumah has led to a temporary suspension of gas supply,” the statement noted.
Preliminary assessments indicate that the fault will require substantial repairs. A technical team is currently on-site and working to restore operations as quickly and safely as possible.
The Ministry assured the public that regular updates will be issued as progress is made.
“We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding as we work to resolve this issue. Further updates will be shared in due course,” the statement added.
