A tragic accident occurred in Esereso, Bosomtwe Constituency, Ashanti Region, on New Year’s Eve, claiming the life of a man identified as Owura Kwame, who was in his late 30s.
Kwame was struck by a car while crossing the road during the celebration of the arrival of 2025. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver immediately fled the scene, leaving the victim behind.
As locals and churchgoers attending the 31st Watch Night service gathered around in shock and sorrow, Kwame’s lifeless body was later transported to the morgue for further investigation.
Authorities are now working to identify the driver and investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. The tragic event has left the community in mourning.
