Kwahu West, Ghana – A fatal head-on collision involving a passenger bus and two tipper trucks has resulted in the deaths of four people and left several others with life-threatening injuries.
The accident occurred at Danteng in the Kwahu West Municipality, along the Accra-Kumasi highway.
Reports indicate that one of the tipper trucks attempted to overtake another vehicle improperly, leading to the collision with the bus traveling from Accra to Kumasi.
Kwahu West Municipal Fire Commander, DOII Samuel Mantey said that accidents are becoming increasingly common on this stretch of road.
He urged drivers to exercise caution and avoid reckless overtaking to prevent further tragedies. Authorities are appealing to drivers to prioritize safety and remain vigilant to reduce the rising number of accidents on the highway.
