Turkish giants Galatasaray are in discussions with Tottenham Hotspur over a potential loan move for midfielder Yves Bissouma, who has yet to make an appearance for Spurs this season.
The 28-year-old Mali international was notably left out of the squad for the UEFA Super Cup clash against Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month due to repeated lateness, according to club sources.
Bissouma also missed Spurs’ Premier League opener against Burnley due to injury and was unavailable for their 2-0 win at Manchester City on Saturday.
Signed from Brighton in 2022 for £25 million plus add-ons, Bissouma has made 100 appearances for Tottenham. He was a starter in the club’s Europa League final victory over Manchester United in May.
With competition in midfield intensifying, Spurs added Joao Palhinha on loan from Bayern Munich this summer. The Portuguese defensive midfielder made an instant impact, scoring in the recent win over City.
Negotiations between Galatasaray and Tottenham are ongoing as the Turkish club looks to bolster its squad ahead of their domestic and European campaigns.
