At the swearing-in ceremony of President John Dramani Mahama and his running mate, Professor Jana Naana Opoku-Agyemang, on January 7, 2025, Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu offered his heartfelt congratulations and assured Ghana of Nigeria’s unwavering support.

The event, held at Black Star Square in Accra, was attended by national leaders, foreign dignitaries, and thousands of Ghanaians. During his speech, President Tinubu expressed deep confidence in Mahama’s leadership, pledging Nigeria’s continued partnership with Ghana under the new administration.
