Police have arrested Grace Siaw, the girlfriend of Daniel Febiri (Braima), the prime suspect in the murder of Asante Kotoko fan Francis Yaw Frimpong, known as Nana Pooley.
Asante Kotoko confirmed the arrest in a social media post on Monday, March 3, 2025. Siaw is alleged to have assisted Febiri in evading arrest by hiding him between February 4 and 17, and also facilitated his escape to Senegal via Cote d’Ivoire.
Siaw was arraigned on February 25 and remanded in custody. She is scheduled to reappear in court on March 3 as investigations continue.
Nana Pooley was fatally stabbed on February 2, 2025, in Nsoatre, following a match between Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman.
Asante Kotoko has also criticized Asempa FM for comments they believe have hindered the police investigation. The club reiterated its commitment to seeking justice for Pooley and urged fans to remain calm during the legal process.
The case has drawn significant public attention, with many expressing anger over the death of a dedicated fan. The club continues to urge fans to be patient and trust the ongoing investigation.
