The Ghana Medical Association’s Ashanti Division has condemned a recent attack on the residence of their Chairman, Dr. (Med) Paa Kwesi Baidoo.
The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, December 18, involved unidentified individuals who vandalized the property, causing significant damage.
The attackers reportedly trespassed onto the property and felled a large tree, which subsequently collapsed onto the house. This reckless act trapped Dr. Baidoo’s wife and son inside, causing considerable fear and distress.
The GMA has demanded a thorough investigation into the matter and has called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of those responsible. The association has also requested increased police protection for Dr. Baidoo and his family to ensure their safety.
The GMA’s statement emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law and ensuring the safety of medical professionals. They expressed their commitment to cooperating with the police to bring the perpetrators to justice.
