The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) was honored with the Energy With Purpose Award (CSR Impact Honour) at the inaugural Premier Energy Leadership Middle East & Africa Conference & Awards, held on October 17, 2024, at the Khoory Sky Garden Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The event, themed “Harnessing AI for a Sustainable Energy Future: Innovations, Impact, and Integration,” brought together top-level energy leaders and organizations, organized by The Governance & Business Boardroom, the Middle East Solar Industry Association, JEPMSS, and Energy Governance Middle East & Africa Magazine.

GNPC was recognized for its extensive corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, which include providing scholarships for both local and international students, constructing science laboratories, sick bays, CHPS compounds, 160-bed dormitories, astro turfs, classroom blocks, sanitary facilities, dining halls, and boreholes.

The corporation also supports artisan training and equips them with startup tools to kickstart their entrepreneurial journeys.

Representing GNPC at the prestigious awards ceremony were Deputy Chief Executive (Finance) Benjamin Kweku Acolatse and Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, Dr. Dominic Kwesi Eduah.

Their presence underscores GNPC’s commitment to positively impacting individuals and communities across Ghana, with a determination to enhance the quality of life for all Ghanaians.
