The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has vehemently refuted allegations of the government selling state lands to cronies.
In a press briefing, Minister Samuel Abu Jinapor dismissed the claims as “palpably false” and politically motivated.
Jinapor pointed to specific instances, such as the sale of bungalows belonging to the Judiciary Service in Cantonment, which he attributed to the previous administration.
He argued that these lands were disposed of under the Mahama government, and it was disingenuous for critics to now accuse the current government of state capture.
The minister emphasized that the Akufo-Addo government has not engaged in the indiscriminate sale of public lands.
